The second big project, is the construction of the new Willamette River crossing for the new MAX line to downtown Milwaukie. Seen above are photos of the approaches. Top photo is on the East bank, some of the PNWNRHS passenger car collection can be seen in the background at East Portland. The bottom photo shows the West bank, with the pillars of the I-5 Marquam Bridge in the background.
